This is what Thoughts On Art is all about. Taking a look at artists practicing today... seeking out apparent influences on their work, and whom in turn they might be influencing. What you will get here is a critique on these artists and a well researched inquiry into their practices. Also you will find some cutting opinions on artists that might not be living up to their potential.

Currently you will find articles mostly written by the art critic Clifford Elgin. This site can be used as a space to air your own views as well by following the guidelines provided. In time, links and more articles will be added.

Thoughts on art is looking for engaging articles on contemporary art. If you wish to submit an article for review before posting, know that we will get back to you, but their is no assurance that you will be published on this site.

Please submit a word or text document. Thoughts on art will search out images if your work is published.
